The maker of China’s most advanced stealth fighter jet revealed that it recently broke records in terms of aircraft delivery due to high demand. This comes after China managed to solve the last missing part of the puzzle, the domestically developed WS-10 engines.
Since the start of the fourth quarter, Chengdu Aircraft Industrial Group Co.Ltd under the state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China has been facing challenging research and development, production, and delivery missions as multiple users were waiting to receive delivery of many aircraft according to the company’s statement posted on social media.
In the released statement, the company said several key test flight missions were completed and indexes related to aircraft delivery have broken record highs.
After successfully producing domestically made WS-10 engines, China has switched from imported ones and this has enabled mass production to take place.
China also domestically produces other important systems used by J-20 like the avionics system, radar system, and weapon systems.
The development and production of the WS-10 engine have lifted limitations caused by the imported one and some reports indicate that the engine has been tested on other new Chinese aircrafts like j-16, J-10, and J-11 which has enabled to start mass production.
China intends to mass-produced J-20 stealth fighter jet in a short time in order to be able to satisfy increased demand from PLAA in Western, Eastern, Southern, Northern, and Central theater commands and J-20 will likely become the most force for China to defend its Sovereignty and Territorial integrity since neighboring countries have bought U.S F-35 stealth fighter jets.
