Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics opening ceremony begins at China’s national stadium, which is also known as the Bird’s nest due to the way it looks.

Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou has returned to direct the opening and closing ceremony at Beijing 2022 winter Olympics games after directing the 2008 summer Olympics.

About 30 heads of state and international organizations are in attendance, including Xi Jinping the president of China, and Vladimir Putin the president of Russia who arrived today hours before the opening ceremony began.

The whole world is watching to see how the games go amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, we have also seen some protests against the Beijing winter Olympics games in India, Washington, and Turkey in small numbers.
