In a summit attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping and leaders of Central Asian countries to celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations with China via video link, president Xi Jinping of China promised to provide central Asian countries with 500 million dollars in aid.
The five central Asian countries include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan which were former Soviet republics and gained Independence after its collapse in 1991.
Xi Jinping says the relationship between China and other five central Asian countries have been established on the basis of sincerity, mutual trust equality, and mutual benefit as he promised mutual understanding and accommodation which helped resolve boundary issues left from history, turning over 3,300 kilometers shared borders in to abound of friendship, mutual trust, and mutual cooperation.
“We have established strategic partnership, deepening political trust, and mutually beneficial cooperation, blazing a new trial of good-neighborly friendship and win-win cooperation, and setting a good example of fostering International relations” Xi told leaders of five central Asian countries.
“Over the last past 30 years, we have joined hands in the pursuit of development. The two trade and investment have over the years increased, several big projects of strategic importance have been successfully completed, including the China-central Asia natural gas pipeline, The China-Kazakhistan crude oil pipeline, The China-Kyrgkstan-Uzbekistan high way, and China – Tajikistan expressway. The China-Europe train expressway which runs through central Asia has seen rapid growth, guided by the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, Belt and Road cooperation between China and central Asian countries is bearing fruits in central Asia”.
Xi Jinping welcomed central Asia countries athletes to Beijing winter Olympics and wished them good performance as he says China was willing to host the colorful central Asia online art festival under the framework of the “meet in Beijing” Olympics culture festival.
