The Philippines to buy two ships from South Korea at 556 million dollars

This procurement comes at a time when the Philippines is trying to modernize its Navy to better prepare itself in a showdown with China in the South China Sea but those two will not mean much compared to China’s Navy which is the largest in the world.

The ships were bought from South Korea’s Hyundai heavy industries according to the defense secretary of the Philippines Delfin Lorenzana.
