Ukrainian soldiers search for bodies in the debris at the military school hit by Russian rockets the day before, in Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine, on March 19, 2022. – Ukrainian media reported that Russian forces had carried out a large-scale air strike on Mykolaiv, killing at least 40 Ukrainian soldiers at their brigade headquarters.

Viktor Yanukovych who was Ukraine president before 2014 coup that was supported by US and its allies, has appealed to current president Zelensky of Ukraine to overcome his pride and stop the war at any cost in a letter which was released.

The refusal of Zelensky to surrender has killed thousands of people including fighters from both sides and has caused destruction to Ukraine infrastructure unlike never seen before since world II. If the war continues at this rate, Ukraine will be destroyed beyond recognition and many people will be killed which Viktor Yanukovych is telling Zelensky to avoid at any cost even if it means surrending.

Due to the support of US and its allies, president Zelensky has refused to surrender and has for many times vowed to fight until the last Ukraine soldier including appealing to foreign fighters to come to Ukraine and help fight the Russian military.

But Russia’s use of hypersonic missiles in the war has shocked president Zelensky and has appealed to Putin for talks to end the war because he understands that no defense systems will be able to protect him if Russia decides to target him.

So far Ukraine war has displaced more than 4 million people to neighboring countries like Poland, Romania, Russia and Belarus. Russia has taken control over 90% of eastern Ukraine and almost cities in the south of Ukraine bordering the sea expect Mariupol and Odessa.
